Government patent attorney registered to practice before the USPTO and the state of California. Five years experience as a practicing electrical engineer teaching basic electrical engineering principles and providing electrical engineering services at private corporations. Over ten years experience as a practicing patent attorney at both private law firms (five years) and government research laboratories (six+ years). Drafted, filed and prosecuted over 200 patent applications in the mechanical and electrical engineering arts such as communications, wireless and broadband technology, IC design and fabrication, analog circuits, software and laser optics. Drafted appeal briefs. Prepared infringement opinions. Negotiated and drafted license agreements. Counseled clients on technical data rights, patent disclosures, copyright and trademark issues, NDA, trade secrets and FAR/DFARS government contracts. Created and reviewed CRADAs and other statutory based agreements. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park. Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego.
